Start from whatever you have
Most question content does not begin in the correct format. It originates from a Word document compiled over several semesters, a plain text file from a publisher, a QTI package from another Learning Management System (LMS), or text copied from a PDF. Qulibra accepts all of these formats.
Drag a file onto the window, use the Import action in the sidebar, or paste text directly. Qulibra parses the structure, identifies question types, and maps everything into its internal format before you commit.
Review the detected question types, verify the correct answers, and ensure proper formatting. Use the editor to clean up imported material before exporting or adding it to the library.

Supported input formats
- Microsoft Word (.docx): rich text with inline formatting preserved
- Plain text (.txt): structured numbered question sets
- Rich text (.rtf): formatted documents from word processors
- QTI 2.1 packages (.zip): standard e-learning interchange format
- Clipboard paste: paste plain or rich text directly into the import editor
Automatic question type detection
Qulibra analyzes the structure of your questions and automatically categorizes them. It detects question types like Multiple Choice, Multiple Answer, True/False, and Essay based on their answer patterns. If a question requires a hint, you can add an inline tag anywhere in the prompt line.
#FIB— Fill in the Blank#MATCH— Matching#ORD— Ordering#MC,#MA,#TF,#ESS— explicit override for any type
Tags are stripped from the prompt text after import.
Review before you commit
The import preview allows you to identify and correct any misdetected question types or formatting artifacts before saving your document. Simply spot the issue, make the necessary corrections, and then reimport the changes cleanly.
Compatible with other authoring tools
Qulibra reads Type: declarations formatted questions for other Windows-based test authoring tools. Multiple Choice, Multiple Answer, Essay, Fill-in-Blank, and Matching types are all supported through Type: lines.
